Mataatua: The House That Came Home

Some of the information was quite uncomfortable for a European to absorb, but history has its bad and good moments. Lovely staff and great to see the house in a active use

So thankful that we came across this during our visit. We spent almost two hours sharing cultures while witnessing and engaging in traditional spoken and sung lore. The multimedia presentation in the historic lodge was worth the price of admission alone.

Great exhibiton, so glad that the meeting house is in its rightful home.

The light show is absolutely mind blowing. This is also a great place to learn about the local stories.

Great cultural experience learning about the house and the ancestral stories. Beautiful carvings and great storytelling. Definitely worth a visit!
