I went to this restaurant with my family the same day I arrived to Auckland. Owner and manager were very warm and welcoming. The restaurant itself is very cozy and nicely decorated. All food and wines we tried were just incredible. We had the Scotch fillet in garlic butter/jus, macadamia crusted lamb rump, pork belly in sweet chilly sauce, garlic cheese pizza, sticky date pudding and chocolate lava cake. And OMG!!! everything was delicious, well cooked and condiment and the desserts would take you to heaven! For the wines we tried the Sauvignon blanks and Pinot noir and they were all on point, the had a very good selection! If we ever travel back to NZ we will definitely come again here!!!
Sorry to say this 6 of us went 6th Feb 2025 we were seated close to the door absolutely no air conditioning it was 31 degrees in the middle of the restaurant the fans didn’t cut it, three of the 6 people felt faint, wanted to move outside not suitable for 6 people. Spend the money and make your customers feel more welcome on a hot night. The food was nice prices med to high, portions generous, staff were good and service was good, would go back but never sit inside on a hot night.
Very nice grill eye fillet steak. I had with pepper cream sauce. Very tasty and love the smell of charcoal grill.nWe also had mushroom risotto balls withngrated cheese and yummy garlic saucenVery crispy, good to eat with winennBut one of your staff was not doing good customer service. She is not speaking much and no smile. nWhen we finish and trying to pay at casher, she doesnt even look at us, like she doesnt care customer... nYoung lady at bar, she found us we were waiting and cared about us even she was busy for serving drink. Thank you to young lady.
Hands down one of the best resteraunts on the coast! Service from the young guy tonight was outstanding. Service with a smile! Outstanding cocktails, the young girl at the till was friendly and smiley and the food... Outstanding! The best garlic ciabatta I've had, the pizzas amazing! Nice vibe, fab staff, amazing food. Wish I'd found this place sooner!
Finally got round to trying out Manly Bar & Grill tonight. The staff were very welcoming and Harry looked after us well - making sure we were never left thirsty! We tried the Market fish and the beef burger and were very happy with both. The sauce with the market fish was amazing and I’d return for that alone. Only thing I would change is to maybe up the fan speed as it was quite a hot evening
