After reading about Mangawhai Natives mission on their website, I was impressed with the passion & direction. They sounded great! Sadly, my experience didn’t match this. I emailed them to ask if they had a specific plant & they said they did & provided a link for me to purchase them. I bought the plants & they were quickly delivered. Everything was really smooth & efficient to that point. The particular plants I purchased can often be confused with another closely related one & I was concerned I had been delivered the incorrect ones, so queried this with Jess & Ricky. At no time was I hostile, I merely needed to confirm we had the right plants. Both Jess & Ricky were hostile & defensive. They spoke rudely to me by text & also on the phone. I said I would send through some photos of the plant I already had in my garden so they could compare & we could all make sure it was the plant that I wanted. They didn’t want to know & certainly had no interest in checking to make sure I had the right plant. I never heard anything back from them for weeks after sending through the photos & following up with a text. I thought maybe they had gone away but then received an invoice & later a reminder to pay. This is one of the worst examples of customer service that I have been party to. I paid the bill because that’s not what I’m about but will definitely NOT be using them again.
Always a great experience - we are repeat customers. Very knowledgeable and helpful
