I had such a lovely time here at Kepler Mountain View Alpacas! Ray led my friend and I on a farm tour, in which we got to meet and feed baby and teen alpacas, pregnant mothers, and even met a very cute farm cat. Ray was extremely knowledgeable and was more than willing to answer my millions of questions. The tour was supposed to be an hour, but I was having such a good time that it ended up taking an hour and a half, and Ray didn’t even rush me! The Wild Wool Gallery on the premises also had such cute items, I highly recommend checking it out. Visiting this farm was definitely one of my favorite experiences here in New Zealand, I’ll forever remember this experience!
A short 20-min drive from Te Anau town centre, the Kepler Mountain View Alpaca Farm is a must do for all who love animals. Ray and Jessie are the lovely owners of the farm and Ray hosted our tour with much expertise and passion about alpacas. We enjoyed the tour tremendously, learning more about the alpacas and hand feeding them. Please make sure to visit the shop, Wild Wool Gallery, thereafter. Jessie's handmade Alpaca wool items are great souvenirs and there are also other NZ/Alpaca souvenirs available at reasonable prices. More people need to be aware of this farm as it's easily assessible and both Ray and Jessie are such friendly hosts who deserve our support!
Kepler Mountain View Alpacas is a must-do for visitors to Te Anau. Jessie and her team are so warm and welcoming. We had a blast feeding the alpacas and discovering their individual personalities. I even got a little nuzzle from a cria. There's also a shop filled with yarns, sweaters, and even socks, all made from alpaca wool.

Our favourite part of our Te Anau trip. Lovely guide, beautiful farm and highly entertaining alpaca. Everyone loved it including the toddler and teens. We will definitely be back
Wife and I were absolutely thrilled to hand feed these beautiful smart animals. Jessy was very patient and informative when answering many questions asked. Alpacas come in 22 colors and have hollow strands of hair that make them exceptionally great at trapping heat. They have a strong hierarchy in the herd. They are also a very clean animal as the herd will all poop in one area and none will eat the grass from there. An amazing experience.
My partner and I had an amazing experience at Kepler Mountain View Alpacas a few months ago. Jessie was an amazing host, so knowledgeable and kind. We loved getting to know the personalities of so many alpacas and feeding them was a real treat. I highly recommend the alpaca socks too! Made my first trip to New Zealand a true delight. Thank you!

Amazing alpacas and comfortable accommodation. The accommodation has everything, is truly comfortable, and the spa pool/ hot tub is the cherry on top with majestic views. I especially loved the alpaca tour where we got to visit all the different alpacas on site and feed them. So cute!! Definitely worth a stay and visit!Rooms: 5/5
