My son and I stayed 2 night in the guest cottage and it was a wonderful stay. The guest house is very comfortable with everything you would need complete with coffee and milk. We had a great time feeding the alpacas and watching the little baby alpacas with their mothers. The spa has a great view to relax after a fun day of exploring. One of our favorite stays in the trip! Thank you to our kind hosts!
My family and I had a great time meeting all of Jessie and Ray's alpacas while in Manapouri. Fantastic hospitality while doing the tour and an amazing shop too. All of us walked away alpaca fans and almost all of us walked away with an item from the shop. 10/10 recommend.
Hotel highlightsKid-friendly
Bloody good experience actually, called up and went over within 5mins were at the camp couple properties over. Was even better as we were the only ones there at the time so my daughter really got a great experience. The owner is very knowledgeable and we had a few good yarns. See you next time we are in the area.
Walked up around 4pm and did the alpaca walking tour $25 NZD each which was only about 20 min drive from Te Anau and it was AMAZING. If you love alpacas/farms come here! You get to pet and feed the alpacas and they are very social and very very soft! We even got to see some baby alpacas! I loved that they gave out little shoe covers so our shoes stayed clean and there's a bathroom and a gift shop on site as well! Jessie and Ray - thank you!
One of the highlights of our NZ trip, enjoyed evening spa baths watching the Alpacas and enjoyed an interesting tour with owners Ray and Jessie who were able to show us a baby born overnight. Comfortable home base to explore Milford Sound and Te Anau.Rooms: 5/5
Only went here for the alpaca farm tour on a walk-in basis around 3pm ish from Te Anau, which was absolutely worth it! The house cat Charlotte was also a delight to be with. Jessie has been a great tour guide showcasing us how the alpacas are being taken care of for regional shows and all. The 6-month old baby alpacas were all very adorable and friendly to be fed and ‘talked to’ - Jessie said if you lowered yourself to their head level and make a kissing sound - they would sniff back as their way of communicating !! Truly amazing place to just be with them, totally recommended!
Jessie and Ray are wonderful! And their alpaca farm is quite amazing. I highly recommend visiting and doing a tour. They’re super knowledgeable, fun to talk to, and really lovely people. Their property in Manapouri is absolutely stunning. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! Our daughter nellie had the time of her life petting the alpacas! Part of me wishes I was an alpaca so I could have their beautiful views of the mountains The alpaca gift shop has gorgeous items as well.
Ray and Jessie own this huge farm with lots of Alpacas. As soon as we entered, Ray gave us plastic covers for our shoes. Then, we clicked photos and fed the Alpacas with the stuff given by Ray. Loved this unique experience. Jessie also sells products made from the Alpacas fur.Since we did not have our own transport for reaching here we hired a nine seater van from Te Anau Delivery Services managed by Khyle Brookland available on FB Messenger
Went for the alpaca meet, greet and feed farm tour. NZD $25 per pax. Met Ray and their house cat beautiful and very well taken care of. Was it Stella? Wanted to hug it but worried alpacas might smell me weird when I interact with them in a short while. Was led by Jessie to see the alpacas. She shared many informative information where we had better understanding of these beautiful babies. Very recommended tour for everyone where you can interact with the alpacas and have fun with these gentle boys and gals at the comfort of their homes. Will return and stay at your accommodation next round to have a longer interaction with the babies. Thanks for your guide Jessie and Ray. Appreciate with Love .
