Nice spot for a sit down with a view, just at the top of exhibition drive by the entrance to the Beveridge Track. The track, through some delightful bush, goes to the Aratiki visitor centre and takes around 30 minutes.
A beautiful walk along the pipeline. Well formed trail, plenty of native flora and parking generally OK at the Titirangi end of the walk.
Favorite Beverage walking track with spectacular panoramic wow from the top of Waitakere Dam & ranges, Manakau Harbour. Leads to Arataki Visitors Centre. Coffee truck next to car park.
A great starting point for the Beveridge track and a nice walk up to the Arataki visitor’s centre. There are Nikau along the track and it is not unusual to see Kereru, Tui and Piwakawaka.nnIt is well maintained and wide, with only a small portion at the end which is steep.nnThe parking area is at the end of a fairly narrow path, so go slowly.
