Atawhai Whenua Reserve

Beautiful trails and spectacular birds. We walked from Mud Brick back to the ferry. It was a lonely, well-kept trail. A great nature escape from Auckland.

There is a walking trail from ferry terminal to Oneroa that is a bit more shaded and quieter than the road. The high trail has a 5min detour to a viewing area overlooking the bay. Used to be farmland so not a very dense bush. An easy walk if you have some time to kill

A little difficult to figure out where you’re going, but a beautiful outdoor space and a nice walk through the bush.
