So disappointed with this business. Stopped after driving for 7 hours for a well deserved break. As soon as we entered the shop, the staff member pointed straight to the pie warmer, assuming that we wanted a "Maggot Pack" was the beginning of why we never bought from you. We asked about a meal, which they said that they were not serving any hot meals. That was our queue to leave
Best place in Putaruru for a fish in a bun or pork in a bun. Yummy food that's always made fresh everyday for the early birds going to work at 5am.Food: 5/5

Ma Bakers doesn't look much but it's clean and the pies ... "the steak and pepper " has lage chunks of lean tender meat. no fillers !!! good pastry. Very filling the best steak pie I've ever eaten. Food simple no hallal here but what they make is fresh. Parking outside easy access ! table and chairs outside . bin on rd for yr paper bags. Friendly staff. I see they've won awards for their pies.
Not up to it's usual high standard. Fish was cold, with chips only warm. Chips in pottle & topped up in bag which split so most of my chips spilked out & ended up in the bin
The food was nice they have a good selection of goods and nice staff
best pies by miles, for miles. Their cakes and buns are tasty as er, as well...get there fast coz ya missin' out t'other wise. :
Ma bakers is one of only two bakeries that I frequent in Putaruru. Their pies taste as kiwi pies should, they not have that sickly sweet taste that most Asian owned bakeries do. The fish and mussels are nice not sure if it's fresh daily or not but it's still nice. Fish in a bun seems popular. Parking on the street can be problematic at Times when truckers have stopped in. Staff are polite and friendly. Coffee's not bad either.
I know I shouldn't be doing this but I cannot stop myself. The cream donuts are to die for
