Really cool cafe with a great atmosphere.nMy coffee was smooth and tasted delicious.nI ordered the huevos rancheros and my nan had the scrambled and eggs. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Mine was full of flavour which worked well together, I loved the “hash” throughout the dish. The tortilla was a let down, just sitting on the bottom which became soggy. My nan loved her meal and rated it highly.nnUnfortunately, I do have to comment on the staff. I read previous reviews and was conscious of the comments about the staff. I didn’t want to assume our experience would be similar but it was. One of the young baristas was joyful and very welcoming so thank you to him. Yet the others were not quite accomodating and seemed like they were dragging their feet. As someone who works in the hospitality industry as well, I understand but customer service is one of the main priorities of the job. It’s evident that Lyttleton Coffee Co is an exceptional cafe when it comes to the coffee, the food, the views, the atmosphere; however, it’s lacking the accomodating and welcoming customer service.
Worth the trip to Lyttleton. Great location and venue, coffee was fantastic and the food was v good.
Interesting shop. .nGreat views from the back deck.nFood was ok. I had the savoury mince. Not a lot of flavour.nThe thing I didn’t like was the staff ..! Not a smile to be seen and just generally unwelcoming. !nSadly I won’t be back
A wonderful ambience on a Sunday morning. Seemed full of regulars and locals. Worth the drive out to Lyttleton. Some great local shops around too.
This is a fun venue with loads of dining options. It’s very popular so you may need to wait a little bit & the food sells out too!nCheck the board at the front entrance for what they don’t provide!! No takeaway and no trim milk lol! Just my kind of place! Loads of dietary options and vegan is their speciality. Everything is in Te Reo Māori although it’s all translated. Get ready to line up and try this place out!nGreat view of the harbour out the back.nPs: don’t bother the chef!
