Gorgeous coffee shop! The most lovely coffee shop I've seen in NZ. Cozy inside and fresh air outside.nTheir food is amazing. Highly recommend the seafood chowder.
Cute cafe, however staff kinda unhappy/ no friendly vibes. Not sure why it’s such a misery to work here, as I see others have commented on this too nSeafood chowder was nice, as was the cabinet dessert. Coffee also good. Lamb was a bit too gamey for our liking.
Oh yum, they gave us a great breakfast, cheese cake and scone. we were hungry! Quick friendly staff. Both of us were very impressed - and the other half critiques very harshly! Don't hesitate to give them a go - we'll definitely be going back next time we're down these ways. Very rarely do I do reviews, but these guys were worth my time and effort!
A very lovely experience here, the food was tasty and they didn't hold back on the extras we purchased.nnThe breakfast even came with a side of tomato and hollandaise sauce which I think should be the golden standard and it's good because so many other places in Ashburton charge extra for the basics like that.nnThe coffee was also great, it all went down a treat.nnMy partner couldn't finish her waffles, banana and bacon so I was able to swoop in and that was also divine.nnGreat mixture of maple syrup, peanut caramel and cream was really great, I'm not a sweet food type of guy but it was great mixture after the big breakfast.nn10/10 the best breakfast I've had in Ashburton and I think I've nearly been everywhere.
I was so impressed with my breakfast meal. Being a vegan, there were some foods I couldn't eat so not only did they REDUCE the cost but they also ADDED other foods I could eat & it was a delicious meal. Other family members ordered the scones with jam & cream. They said they were the nicest scones they had ever tasted. Well done Lushingtons!! Would highly recommend
