Louise Thomas is a writer, editor and artist living in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. She specialises in writing about science issues and has won several awards for her science reporting. She also enjoys photography and drawing, with commissions including botanical drawings for science articles and drawings of different human cells from slide photos for pharmacy/medical materials. She is also a needlepoint enthusiast, and has recently decided that life is too short to not do more of the stuff you love.
