Story

In April of 2019 the kaitiakitanga of the Loopline Olive Grove and brand was handed over to its new owner Stephen Davies Howard. Stephen feels a huge responsibility to maintain the winning streak and the very high standard of oil that the grove has become renowned for.
Stephen is looking forward to spending time with whānau on the Loopline Grove.

Stephen purchased the property from Mark and Kate Bunny who have owned the grove since 2009 when they “switched from growing grass to mowing grass.”

The Bunny family was one of the early settlers, and Loopline Olives is on part of the original family farm. Mark’s grandparents farmed this land, he grew up on the land and in time his children and grandchildren were brought up on the land as well.

Loopline Grove has embraced appropriate technology, like a tree-shaker harvester to pick them at their prime. The Olives are pressed locally the day they are picked for maximum freshness and quality.
The oil is stored in food-grade containers, the oil is filtered and bottled promptly for better shelf life and to maintain its flavour. Our oils all proudly carry the red ‘Olives New Zealand Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil’ sticker, proving it meets all the national and international technical quality criteria for EVOO.

The grove is surrounded by vineyards, as “good olives grow where good vines grow” thats why our Extra Virgin Olive Oil a perfect addition to your Kai.
