Story

Nestled on the outskirts of Lake Wanaka, within a six minute drive of Lake Wanaka resort, the Lodge offers uninterrupted mountain views, luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, fresh flowers, gourmet breakfasts, fine linen and an introduction to the superb wine and produce of the Wanaka region.

Known for its attentive service and stunning grounds, Lime Tree Lodge is characterised by the many lime trees which punctuate the ten acres of landscaped gardens, pasture and fruit trees. An avenue of 'tilea cordata' lime trees line the estate's entrance and provide the fresh theme on which the Lodge is based. The rustic Central Otago exterior features local schist stone and complements the Lodge's contemporary and comfortable interior.

The Lodge offers four well-appointed en-suite guestrooms and two private suites, each with their own French doors and veranda that open out to the Lodge's beautiful gardens. An on-site helipad provides direct access to the region's spectacular ski fields, glaciers and sounds, while a petanque court, pitch-and-putt golf course, mountain bikes, swimming pool and spa pool provide plenty of opportunity for on-site relaxation.

If booked exclusively, the lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests. With its magnificent garden setting, stunning 360 degree mountain views and expansive grounds, complete with on-site helipad and accommodation for VIP guests, Lime Tree Lodge is the ideal venue for intimate weddings and private celebrations.

The new owners - John & Pauline Trotter. They previously owned a high country station in Canterbury and ran 4WD tours on their property. They are warm and welcoming kiwi hosts with a passion for New Zealand and key interests in gardening, high-country farming, fly-fishing, golf, mountain biking and motorcycle tours.
