Story

Let's Dance, Dance Studio was opened in February 2013 by owners Simon and Michelle Eastick after a 3 year break from dance teaching to spend time with their family. Simon is fully qualified with the New Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers (NZFDT) in Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue dance styles, while his wife Michelle is studying for her professional Ballroom exam. Simon has 19 years experience as a professional dance teacher, prior to which he competed as an amateur for 9 years, becoming a National finalist in all 3 styles. After turning professional, Simon trained finalists and winners in all 3 styles. Our previous studio, Simply Dancing Dance Studio, was one of Hamilton's largest and most successful studios.

Let's Dance was started to give those who want to learn to dance socially, a fun, friendly and casual environment to learn in, and we specialise in teaching the fundamentals of all the Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue dances, so that students are quickly able to confidently dance around the floor in any of the styles. As students have progressed, we have had requests for medal tests and competition work so we are now offering Medal Exams to those who wish to sit them. We have also had several students compete locally, garnering several First and Second places.

Our aim is to give every student a sound basis for their dancing in a fun, friendly and safe environment, and can take each student as far as they want in their dancing.
