I joined this club for the fist time in March 2026 after a major workplace accident in 2023. Anusha took care of my membership. I explained to her that it was my first time back after the accident and that I was prone to injury. I asked Anusha if anything was to happen to me physically would I be able to opt out of my membership without any fees. She said yes if I provided medical documentation. I joined. Big mistake, and clear that the club will tell you anything to get a membership.nnUnfortunately I had a fall and had no capacity to train. I provided the documentation to Anusha only to find that it wasn’t accepted because they believed it was dated from 2023. If they read the certificate properly it was when I first had the injury not the date I was seen by my GP.. Member services also stated they are not “privy” to any conversations in the club and I have to pay the buy out fee of $370. Anusha ignored all my communication to rectify this or even just acknowledge that is what she said regardless of buyout fees and protocol No accountability from her or an apology. This is BS!! Les mills will say anything to get a membership out of you. Beware!
Les Mills Hutt City is hands down the best gym in Lower Hutt. From the moment you walk in, the staff are welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help — whether it’s showing you how to use equipment, giving training tips, or just making you feel part of the community. The facilities are spotless and well maintained, and you can tell the team really takes pride in keeping everything in top condition.nnThe range of equipment is fantastic — there’s more than enough for both strength training and cardio, and I’ve never had to wait long to use anything. The layout is spacious and well thought out, with areas for heavy lifting, functional training, and a dedicated women’s space which is a huge plus.nnThe group fitness classes are a real highlight. The instructors are motivating, full of energy, and know how to push you while still making it fun. The variety of classes means you never get bored, and it’s great for anyone who needs that extra boost of accountability.nnAnother bonus is the sauna, which is perfect for recovery after a tough workout — it feels like a luxury but really helps with relaxation and muscle recovery.nnYes, the membership is a little more than other gyms around, but the value you get is 100% worth it. Between the world-class facilities, supportive staff, motivating classes, and overall atmosphere, Les Mills Hutt City isn’t just a gym — it’s a place that actually makes you excited to train and stay consistent with your fitness goals. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
WILL BE SIGNING UP AT CITY FITNESS AS WELL NOW!!nTerrible gym. 1st Jan- Partner and I wanted to start the year off with workout but gym was closed. WHAT KIND OF GYM CAN'T YOU GO TO ON THE 1ST JAN. Great for the New Years resolution. All signs up until 30th said open hours 7-7. Once again let down. Opens later and closes earlier than any other gyms. Make sure you do you're research before signing up as they don't give you much info on sign up. Make sure they can cater for what you need.nStaff are really nice. But don't even enforce the simple rules around the gym like bags on floors and wearing shoes. Which is alot more noticable after the terrible idea to rearrange the machines to make a smaller gym.
One of the Best Fitness Clubs in New Zealand. Lowerhutt one is best, amazing staff and amazing facilities.
