Love the new Spanish theme, though you would not have guessed from the name. We dined during the peak of Omicron and ordered some classics. Traditional sangria, seafood paella and some pinxtos. Great Mediterranean flavours throughout these dishes which reminded me of my last trip to Madrid/Barcelona. Excellent table service. Situated on, you guess it, Leinster Rd in the heart of Merivale.
Spent a couple of hours having a leisurely "honeymoon" dinner here in September and never felt rushed. We were very attentively taken care of by the lovely Makayla - she was amazing! Food was delicious and pretty quick to arrive. Had a delightful meal, such a treat.
Really enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant. The choice of food is excellent and my duck was really perfect. The service was great and fast and the interior design is harmonious. In my opinion only the cheese platter was a little poor, as I expected more choice of cheese, but absolutely not as bad as to take down a star. So five out of five stars for a perfect evening.
Great atmosphere and a delicious change of menu at Leinster Eatery. The tapas are tasty and the new fit out has made the restaurant brighter and more lively. Looking forward to trying the aged steak once it hits the menu.

The menu is good and delicious food. Lovely staff.
Not much in terms of choices on the menu. 4 entrees and 4 mains to choose from. The menu we saw online was completely different to what we got in person. The drinks menu only had the choice of red or white wine. Otherwise you had to ask. I hate to be a Karen about it cause our server was super nice but the overall food was super underwhelming and overpriced. Heard they had a change in owner since the last time I’ve been there and if definitely shows in terms of quality. Would not go back for the food and the atmosphere was very bland.
Gluten free food is contained And almost over charged 21$ for 2 coffees nice place in the sun though
The ambience of the place was nice with live music. The food was disappointing - seafood entrees were overcooked and tough. They brought out our mains with fries instead of scalloped potatos without advising diners first. Fries were overly salty and when provided waitress of food being too salty, one of the more senior staff came over and advised she tried the pork and didn't find it too salty. Will not be going there again.
Really overpriced. Food was not bad but absolutely ridiculous to pay $24 for four tiny prawns. Chicken paella didn’t have any chicken in it for $38, but seafood one was very tasty. $12 for 4 small pieces of sourdough was also way too expensive. Overall, good food, but would need to lower prices a lot for me to consider coming back
