Very busy due to school holidays and a couple of larger groups but service and food was prompt. Cabinet food looked lovely. Eggs ordered soft poached and came out exactly that. Staff happily made changes where required - I had pancakes instead of french toast. Asked for extra butter and was no problem. Tea was hot and strong. Haven't been for a while and will be back. The team here were friendly and efficient.
Small cafe serving pretty good food in Taihape. Service was alright, but the staff seemed pretty unfriendly at first.nnStaff subsequently warmed up to us after we had placed our order.nnFood was alright. I do think the French toast at $24.50 was very much overpriced for a slice of bread n few pieces of bacon. I could have gotten the kids meal, at a much lower price and eaten my fill. Looking at the pictures, I can’t tell which is the kids meal and which is the French toast - for adults - mind you, the price difference is $10!nMy child definitely love the nuggets, and the eggs benny was very nice and runny.nLove the decor of the place and the toilet facility was very clean. The kids were delighted with the vintage telephone switch board and thankfully they were allowed to explore it without anyone getting fussy on them.
Very nice little cafe serving the usual breakfast delights. The service was prompt and there was ample seating spaces available during lunch time in a Tue afternoon. The food was tasty and well cooked, though the price to portion ratio is on the little high side.
The worst brunch I’ve ever been served. I ordered eggs Benedict, and was served 2 eggs - one was poached, and completely overcooked. The other for some reason was fried, and so undercooked that half the white was transparent.nnThe pork belly was bone dry, and the serving size by no means justified the price tag
Came in on a rainy Friday for lunch. Pretty busy for a small cafe. Real nice vibe with a warm, bubbly atmosphere. Extra points for all the old-fashioned phones which I LOVE!! Located knbetweeen bathroom doors. My dad ordered a beef brisket panini, which had a nice soft, sweet flavour. Sis ordered a bacon and egg croissant, which she liked. The soup of the day was 10/10. Winner dish out of the ones ordered. Creamy with a hint of spiciness that lingered nicely. Came with two prefect slices of toasted toast. Staff give off a pleasant vibe. Great place for lunch .
