La Voie Française

I’ve tried many French bakeries in Auckland, but this place has the most authentic baguette, just like the ones in France. The crust is perfectly crispy, while the inside is soft and airy. Nowhere else comes close to this quality. All their breads are delicious, but I highly recommend the baguette!

This shop is designed mostly for takeaway orders. There is no table to enjoy your coffee and pastries. There are like 5 cube seats to seat and enjoy your treats. The pastries are tasty. Oh, another challenge was finding a car park. You have to enter the side road to find a park. It is not their fault... But the council. We had our coffee which was nice. I will visit again.

First time trying this place. It is always a long line here so today we manage to come here early and there was still a lot of pastries left. So we ordered a flat white, margarita pizza bread and the chocolate au pain. The margarita bread was pretty good and crispy and not too strong flavour, you can taste the herb on it easily. The chocolate au pain was the best, very crispy on every layer and not too sweet. Price is pretty fair here, makes sense why there are so many people lining up to this store.

We always see long queues on the weekends around 9am, so we decided to try it for the first time on a weekday at 7:45am. No queue, the staff that served us was friendly, passionate about the food, polite, was observant to our needs, especially my mom’s indecisiveness and language barrier. The items we ordered were all DELICIOUS and fresh out of the oven, the staff ensured she got us fresh and hot ones from the baking trays! Highly recommend the croque monsieur and the pain au chocolat! We will definitely make this a regular week day breakfast pick up place! Value for money for quite memorable pastries!

My favourite bakery ever!!nI’m not a bread person, but this place is always special. The orange and chocolate chip bread blow my mind. Your breads always make me happy, thank you for your great work
