This is the most enchanted b&b ever! It has a beautiful garden and serves a wonderful delicious breakfast. We had a small room with private bathroom that was outside our room, but they have bigger ensuite rooms. If you can, go there!
The owner is so sweet. She served us a nice breakfast with local jellies and toasts. She is very accomodating. The drive up you'll think "where the heck are we going" but it's worth it for the view from the rooms.
This is the ideal place to lay your head after the Ferry crossing from Wellington or before you go back up North. After a wonderful drive from Picton along the Queen Charlotte Drive you arrive at this peaceful haven with magnificient views on the Sound below. There is a large deck on which you can relax in one of the sun- or loungechairs and enjoy the sun & those stunning views. From the deck you have acces to lush gardens to wander off and discover the native plants and watch the fascinating local bird wildlife. We were staying in 'Shaun - the Sheep' room which is on the ground flour with adjecent private bathroom and separate toilet. The room is a bit on the smaller side but with the clever storage space provided, you never feel cramped. The matras is very comfortable and sheets are very soft. Upstairs there is a guest lounge to share with 2 other rooms with coffee/tea/water, fruits from the garden and a TV. The breakfast is very extensive, served outside with that wonderful view if weather permits. You get some delicious fresh bread, coffee/tea/hot chocolat with a personal touch, homemade jams and local honey, fruits, charcuterie & cheeses, eggs to your liking and bircher muesli, just delicious! The hostess Conny is lovely, has a great sense of humour and always ready to give you recommendations for your excursions and provide you with a lot of info. We could not recommend this place more! Top experience!
It was awesome. Everything was perfect. It's a b&b with a beautiful view, lovely arranged rooms and top breakfast, including homemade jam and bread. Helps against home sickness.
A very scenic view from the room, a nice breakfast outdoor, and a very quietful place. Small regret the bath spa was not available but comprehensive due to lack of water.
Probably the best breakfast we had at a B&B in New Zealand. Quite and peaceful location with a great view. We really enjoyed our stay.
