Absolutely loved the food here! While it’s a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth every penny. The dishes were exceptional. We shared one starter, two mains, and two sides between the two of us, and every single dish was a delight. Honestly, I didn’t expect to find such a fantastic restaurant in a small town like Wanaka. Everything was excellent.nnMake sure to book a table as early as possible—like right now—because this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended.
Eliza was a stellar hostess, talking our meal from really good to truly fabulous by going the extra mile to look after us. We are very grateful. Wonderful kitchen here, making handmade deliciousness. Enjoyed 2 great meals at Kika during our recent trip to Wanaka, and look forward to dining here again during a longer stay next year.
Definitely one of, if not the, best in Wanaka. Absolutely loved the food and thought it was very good value. Service was attentive and pleasant. The only knock would be the very bright lights, which seems to be a normal thing across NZ. All good, I'd still come back many times over. Highly recommend the beef tartare, the croquettes, and the whole fish.
A beautiful meal in a non-pretentious but lovely restaurant! We loved every dish oysters, scallops, fried chicken, tartare, short rib, and broccoli and service was wonderful! Highly recommend!
After arriving in New Zealand 5 weeks ago, we tried NZ meat several times, but were not satisfied with the taste.nBut at the Kika, we finally found and tasted excellent one, lamb shoulder.nIt was well cooked, well seasoned.nMeat itself was also good not too lean, not to fatty.nI am sure I will return to Kika again, when I visit to Wanaka in the future.nPhotos were taken after we started the meal, so platting is little bit different from original, haha!
