Amazing experience! The food was fresh and full of flavor. We tried the mixed charcoal platter and it was a standout - perfectly grilled and generous portions. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Nice, cozy place with great ambiance. Definitely coming back!
We arrived around 3 pm, and the front staff promptly seated us. We washed our hands in clean, well-maintained washrooms, which was a good start. The menu and order booklet were provided, and we placed our orders.nnMy wife had the Chicken Kabsa, a yellow rice dish with grilled chicken. It was decent, though nothing extraordinary. The chicken was well-cooked and served with curd raitha, tomato chutney, and a salad that was mostly cabbage, both regular and colored—likely a standard Mediterranean salad.nnFor my child, we ordered the chicken pasta. It came in a bowl and was too hot, so we requested a plate to cool it down. The pasta itself was creamy, well-cooked, and flavorful, with cheese that was just right. My child loved it, and we even shared a few bites.nnNext, I tried the Turkish Cerkez Chicken. The menu described it as grilled, but what I received was oil fried chicken. I assumed it was a Mediterranean twist on grilled chicken. The fried pieces were tasty, though, served with an orange rice and peanut sauce, along with the same cabbage salad.nnThen came the biggest disappointment—Harissa Tiger Prawns. They were undercooked, tough, and chewy, clearly taken from the freezer and hastily prepared. The taste was off, and even after trying multiple pieces, they were all the same. For a restaurant of this caliber, this is unacceptable. The quality was nowhere near what was promised on the menu.nnMy child’s strawberry shake, however, was good, and she enjoyed it.nnWhen paying $116, I mentioned the prawn issue to the staff and told them not to serve this dish to other customers. Sadly, the overall experience was ruined. If you can't serve fresh ingredients or prepare dishes properly, be upfront with your customers. This place missed the mark on both quality and service. I won’t be returning, and I suggest others consider whether it's worth the risk.
Amazing food and sheesha!Had an incredible time at Khanz. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavour, and the sheesha was smooth and high quality. Great atmosphere to chill out with friends. Will definitely be coming back! You can see how tasty food was ..finished everything highly recommended
We recently visited Khanz Restaurant and had a really good experience. We ordered the Mixed Charcoal Kebab with chicken and lamb, Paneer Lawandar, and Tandoori Chicken. The portions were very generous, and the overall taste of the food was really good.nnThe kebabs were flavourful and well-cooked, the paneer was rich and creamy, and the tandoori chicken had a nice smoky flavour. The only small downside was that the rice was a little dry, but it didn’t take away too much from the meal.nnOverall, a satisfying meal with great flavours and big servings. Definitely worth a visit!
The restaurant is located on the main road in Papatoetoe. There's plenty parking at the back of the building. I ordered the steak. That was a 10/10 for me . My friend ordered the Roasted lamb shank dish. The lamb was fall,of-the-bone tender .. The whole dish had beautiful flavour . I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food at reasonable prices! The restaurant is clean, with space to move around. It's a lively ,beautifully decorated restaurant. I think the only thing I'd say that I didn't like was that the toilets weren't clean wnough. The food and service was a 10/10.
