Great meal, great service, great experience. We were served by Alex a couple of nights ago, he was very helpful. We had the ribs, seafood paella and lamb salad. Everything was lovely. Loretto was also great and the chef was happy to answer questions about halal meat. Appreciate the effort that goes into your meals and service. Place was also very clean. Would highly recommend!
Apologies. I forgot to photograph the deserts. Nice restaurant. Patagonia style barbecue. Wife had lamb cooked over a wood fire. She liked it. I had orange roughy, the fish of the day. It was delicious. For desert, she had a brownie with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was fair. I had fruit salad with whipped cream on top. It was fair. Service was fair. There's free parking in back.
We had a lovely meal. The servings are very large. Each dish was extremely tasty and we enjoyed the friendly service. Small yet good wine selection.
Good restaurant with a Chilean flair from the chef being an expat. The seafood chowder was really good, just loaded with seafood, like with every mouthful. The food and the service we're both good.
The best meal we had so far in New Zealand. Crayfish direct from Milford Sound. So fresh and sweet. Calamari fritter is also extremely tender. Fish Goujons fritter and the green-lipped mussel are also so tasty and sweet. And the lamb platter is also very fragrant... meat so tender even my mum said she has no problem chewing the meat . The lamb is from the local farm and is barbequed with an open pit fire. . Food : 5/5 Service : 4/5 Price : $$$$ Place : 4/5 . Halal Rest : The Kepler Location : Te Anau City : New Zealand .
Garlic bread was good. Sad to say that was the best part. Ribeye steak tasted good but was partly raw for a medium. No mushroom sauce as mentioned on menu. Ordered vege side but was dry. Service was average, didn't explain the fish or soup of the day, didn't tell us some menu items were out u till we ordered.
Not only was the food terrible, but the service was awful as well. No one appeared to know what was going on, multiple staff tried to take our order and everyone working there seemed confused in general. At one point someone brought us food that wasn’t even ours. We ordered quickly after sitting down but had to wait a very long time for the food to arrive 30min+. No one ordered wine but the glasses were left on the table for the entire meal making the small table very cluttered. At best the food was bland, I had the Seafood Chowder which claimed to be creamy but was actually very watery with not much flavor. The bacon in the food pictured below Chicken Mignon was terrible. It was supposed to be sticky/crispy and wrapped around the chicken. The chicken was a little dry but the mashed potatoes were good. Overall very disappointing.
Very pricey. The specialty BBQ lamb will sound super appealing but order something else. We ordered 3 portions and they were all dry and over cooked.
Amazing food and wines. Great atmosphere and Chilean decor. We had lamb and vegetarian tortilla made of carrots and onions with lentil and quinoa salad. Really enjoyed the place. It is a very busy place so reservations are strongly recommended
Definitely a great restaurant. My partner’s been to Patagonia and was very happy with how authentic the food was and wine selection. We would definitely recommend it.
