Have been in different areas of this building. Friendly Professional Health Care Service that upholds the Health Code of Rights. A&E here is amazing all round! Reception staff fast, efficient & prioritized cases well & fairly. Wait time not as long as expected before seeing a nurse. Nurses had good insights into what problem could be & kept me in less pain as possible. Professional Drs. All explainantions given in plain speak, to make it easy to understand what was going on with my injury/ body. All questions I had were thought through before answering. Told me the rules with stronger pain relief & gave options before xrays. Radiology done their due dilligence by double checking everything, which meant small fracture top of my humourous was picked up on & was called back for a brace & to find referals already put in place for further diagnoses & recovery. All staff great with names & faces which makes people feel more comfortable. Parking pretty full, but free! unlike Wellington. Cost $70-100 cheaper than what I wouldve paid for longer wait in Kapiti. Worth the drive for the service here & wasnt bullied on my bill either. Well done All Staff at Kenepuru A&E I appreciate you all Thankyou
I’m patient at Kenepuru hospital and right now the care here sucks I know other patients have different opinions maybe because they mobile enough to move but for someone who only has one side movement the care sucks it’s because they put too much pressure on their nurses which then results into their not being enough nurses rostered on to work which sucks for people like us that need nurses who are mentally and physically fit enough to look after us
Went there with my sister cause she was very sick and filled out the form , told us to wait they will call us we waited thinking we would go in but nope 10:00 went past they called us in at 1:34 we were patient from the beginning and we understood it’s cause they didn’t have enough staff hopefully next time yous have enough staff but seeing most of the workers just walking around talking and laughing wasn’t it
To be quite frank the waiting time is absolutely ridiculous, went in at 6:30pm hoping I could get my arm stitched up as I had got bitten by a dog. Most definitely wasn’t expecting to be sitting in there until 10:30pm and still not get seen. I do understand the system they have running but would appreciate it if they seen most of the patients that had been there longer than 4 hours.
17 year old daughter took herself to see a Dr after hours. I was really anxious because I was in Hamilton and couldn't do anything for her. My daughter was so scared and extremely nervous. The receptionist was respectful towards my daughter, explained the process and guided her through it. The triage nurses were funny and kept my daughter chilled/calm. And the Doctor allowed me to be on speaker during the consultation. Awesome work team. Thank you. Also the price for all that is half of what we would have had to pay here Hamilton.
