Full midwifery services for women from pre-conception, pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period
Hi Everyone!
I want to begin by telling everyone a little bit about myself. I am Kelsey Barclay, a Gore girl born and bred. I completed my schooling at Gore High School in 2010 before jumping the ditch with my soon-to-be husband Brodie. We spent a year living in Australia where we gained incredible life experience and ultimately where I found my passion for midwifery. We moved back home to Gore in early 2012 where I began working towards my goals.
I completed my Bachelor of Midwifery in 2015 through Otago Polytechnic, gaining incredible experiences with women and their expanding families. I developed a strong passion for rural midwifery and water birth, and have been supported and welcomed by other midwives in Gore and surrounding areas. I have experience in supporting women through primary, secondary and tertiary birth and look forward to providing care as a lead maternity carer (LMC) midwife. There is something incredibly rewarding about supporting women and their families through pregnancy and the birth of their child, which is truly indescribable.
I look forward to my new venture and new experiences as I continue working with women from pre-conception, through pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period. I welcome you to contact me for a chat as you search for your perfect midwife match as I will be offering services in the Southland area, specifically those planning to birth in Gore, Invercargill, Winton or Lumsden.
I will be working closely with fellow midwife Sara Edwards who women will have the option of meeting at various points in their care. I am available for urgent care 24/7, and welcome non-urgent enquiries during office hours Monday-Friday 9am - 6pm. Please feel free to contact me via email, text or phone.
