A miniature railway in the sunny Hawkes Bay town of Havelock North.

Story

The Keirunga Park Railway is a popular 846 metre track operated by the Havelock North Live Steamers Club. The track winds its way around Keirunga Park, through tunnels, over viaducts and around scenic rock faces. Keirunga is rated in the top 5 best miniature railway tracks in the world.

The railway is open on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.

Operating Hours: 11 am - 4 pm.

Rides are just $2.00 per person, and a 12-trip ticket is $15.00.

Cash only. No EFTPOS available.

Come along for a great day out with the family, bring a picnic, and have a ride on our club and visiting steam, diesel and electric locomotives.

We, 6 adults, behaved like children. What an amazing place for young and old. The volunteers couldn't be more helpful if they tried. The locomotives are brilliant. We had 3 rides and I grinned from ear to ear on all 3. Thank you for your help and for giving us a wonderful afternoon.
The ride is fun, even my group is all adults,. so if you have children, they more joy. Especially they have discount tickets, buy 12 for $15.00, otherwise $2.00 for single ticket. Keirunga Park is a garden too, so you can walk the garden before or after.
Great place for young and old alike. Ride behind beautiful miniature steam locomotives over bridges and through tunnels. Well recommended.

What a bustling exciting little place for youngsters. Great family feel, short queues, and great miniature railway tracks which give great views of Keirunga Gardens through tunnels and over bridges. Buy a concession pass for 12 rides for $15
FANTASTIC day out. The big and small kids love riding the trains I've even seen teenagers crack a smile for photos.....lol , pack a lunch, ride the trains, play on the swings or go for a walk around the parklands.
A lovely place for the whole family including the grandparents.
The train was a fantastic 1st time for my aon who loved it! we brought a consession so we will be back

Incredible miniature railway, if you have young kids this is an awesome outing. Runs 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of the month. Highly recommended!
