Katsubi

Was up in Albany a few days days ago, and felt that every other food shop in the food court was the same, but came across Katsubi... 2 words.... amazing food, ans reasonable price. I brought the medium size it comes with rice and a salad mixture of your choice, 2 meats and 2 sauces. I couldnt wait to dig into this, wow the flavours where so good, now just have to see if they have this in Hamilton.

$8 for this tray of spicy chicken. As you can see, it's rip off, portion is small and as you can see more then half the tray is empty. Never coming back here. Also other stores don't use peanut on the spicy chicken and other meat. This is a big waste since so many people may have allergy to that.

I have been to many Katsubi branches & the food here is the freshest. Portions are good, staff are friendly. Place to sit & eat. Wheelchair friedly. I order a large bowl, photo attached with prices.

The chicken which we had with rice and salad was overly sweet for my taste, and for my daughter who had a different chicken dish. We had small servings and the cartons for this are hard to eat out of. The salad was nice and fresh tastingFood: 3/5

I ordered a crispy spicy pork with Mayonnaise on rice. Mini size. The staff are so friendly and most importantly the food was so gooooood. Highly recommend. #satisfied

I feel healthy when I eat the food. It's probably not true but omg it's amazing for that price. I'm a decent sized guy and only need the medium sized meal.

I ordered a snack tray of chili chicken and it must have been sitting there for ages under the heat lamp. Tough and chewy. Very disappointing

Chicken had an unusual colour and fragrance. Request to alter it was denied. returned but no refund was made. Salespeople lack both English language proficiency and culinary skills. How do they pass inspection, I wonder?

Very bad experience, bad service, also has discrimination to different people, especially not nice to Asian people and give less amount of salad and meat to Asians. The store manager didn’t apologize for anything, very rude and arrogant attitude.

Every time I order from Katsubi I tell myself "this is the last time" and then a few months later I forget and order again and regret it, so I'm writing this to remind myself. The rice is too watery and there's never enough to go with the mountain of meat. You may think they're generous with their meat portions, but the meat is 50% oily batter, 30% sugar and 20% actually meat. I think I just got diabetes from this bowl, and that's after scraping half of the sickly sweet "meat" off. 3 starts are for the nice staff.
