Whilst there are some great staff here the bad reviews are not for no reason. There are some really difficult people to work with here.....I wish I didn't need medication.nPatronizing, power hungry un flexible people.
I have read a lot of the reviews and they are the opposite of what I have experienced. I see 3 different ppl at the medical center...my GP,my Health Coach,and my HIP. All 3 of them are very caring and genuine. I highly recommend Dr Joshua Smith,Sarah and Anne. I couldn't ask for better care. Much better than Papakura where I lived 9 mths ago. Lovely Dr's and nurses,they have all referred me to different services which I really needed.nThanks Katikati Medical Center
We transferred my dad to Katikati medical center from a GP clinic in Tauranga recently. The doctors are extremely thorough and friendly. Extremely impressed with their level of care and ease of getting an appointment. Thank you soo much!!
I had a great first appointment at Katikati Medical. My GP was took time to understand my medical history and issued blood tests to get a baseline record of my health. It was such a different experience from my GP in Auckland who didn't bother taking my medical history, didn't ask for a baseline, and kept discouraging me from taking my prescribed medications. The receptionists were really friendly too and helped me enroll when I struggled to do it online.
Every time I go in I get given a new doctor. They proceed to ask the same boring questions every time and it's frustrating. The last doctor was confused about why I was even in his office when there was nothing wrong with me. I explained how the receptionist insisted I come in. The Doctor apologised because he also realises how much of a mess the system is.nThis week was the final straw for me. I was bed ridden and dizzy with covid so I called them and asked if I could have someone come pick up an inhaler and drop it off to me. They insisted I come in even though I told them I was in no state to drive. They still insisted and that's just highly irresponsible. The only time I've needed them in the last two years and they let me down big time.nThere's also a huge inconsistency in nurses. I have seen one exceptional nurse I wish I knew her name to exclude her from this tarnishing post. But that got cancelled out by the incompetent nurse who damaged my ear with the suction machine. When I explained what the previous nurse did to help me she called me a liar. If I could give 0 stars I would
