Karori Plunket Creche is a childcare centre and is one of the services provided by the Karori branch of the Plunket society.
Two of the major attractions of Karori Plunket Creche are our high staff to child ratio and the high quality staff we employ. We have a maximum of 14 children at any time and a third teacher on days we have children under 2.
Our aim is to provide both security and extension for your child. The security comes from a warm and friendly atmosphere and a fairly organised daily routine. Extension comes from the variety of experiences and activities available (art and craft, play dough, puzzles, books, toys, outside activities, music, drama, farm animal and fire-fighter visits etc.), and also from the social interaction and co-operation we encourage among children.
The Crèche operates 44 weeks a year with 3 one week breaks based around school holidays. These dates are advertised in our newsletters and included in our introductory pack given to all new families.
Our session times are:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 pm
Our fees are:
$35.00 – per session for under 3 years old
$10.00 - per session optional charge for over 3
$40.00 – enrolment/administration fee included on your first invoice.
Enrol your pre-schoolers any time after their first birthday. Phone or call into KPC and leave your child’s details.
Children usually start KPC close to their second birthday. The start date depends on the age of your child, the length of time they have been on the waiting list, previous family involvement with KPC, any other significant factors and, of course, when a vacancy occurs.
We are licensed by the Ministry of Education and reviewed by the Education Review Office. This means that we must meet certain strict standards set by them.
Karori Plunket Crèche is a community based parent/whanau run education and care centre. We are partly funded by Government; however there is a fee for each session.
