Worst mall I've ever been to, especially for such a large community. Karori deserves better. The parking is awful, the supermarkets are tiny and have below average selection, and aside from the supermarkets there's not a whole lot else going on. Needs to be knocked down and rebuilt in a way that's purpose fit for a suburb this size. The only redeeming quality it has is the friendly staff and business owners, who contribute to a nice community feel.

I have just received an $85 parking fine for not parking 'within the marked bays', in other words for going over a white line. This is outrageous given the difficulty of parking here. I am horrified and angry. It''s not as if I was blocking someone else because there were other spaces available, and I was parked in the inner area where most people don't park. This was not affecting the revenue received because the parking is free. I have been using Karori mall for all my grocery shopping since 1989 but never again -- Crofton Downs from now on. For a retired person on a fixed income $85 is a very significant amount of money.
Best shop keepers, convenient for the locals, two supermarkets to compare prices, three op shops and a fabulous mower shop near. Don't be bothered by the drab buildings, this shopping center rocks. Library, recreation centre, and Karori community buildings are across the road.
A bit old and run down, but has 2 supermarkets and a fresh fruit and veg shop so cannot complain
