Story

Famed for playing host to the international thoroughbred auctions at Karaka, the Karaka Pavilion offers one of the most unique venues in the country. From its extensive gardens, stables & informal indoor/outdoor spaces, to a contemporary formal lounge & dining area, or the 600-seat auction ring, there is a space suitable for any event or budget.

Located just 35 minutes from Auckland’s CBD, the Karaka Pavilion offers a first class venue, premium catering & flexible arrangements for your wedding, product launch, conference, business meeting, or party.

Excellent venue for any family event. We enjoyed the hospitality. The staff are really awesome specially at bar they are so patient and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone who is planning an event. Although expensive but it is worth it.
Went to a wedding here a couple weeks ago as a guest. Quite dissaponted that when drinks were bout and left on either tables ether so a boogie could be had or something to be taken to a car, staffed cleared them even if the bottles were untouched. Manager was completely unprofessional, disgustingly rude as she was communication with profanity and outlet refused to admit to what was happening or offer refund. The bottles bought at the bar weren't bought full priced. As a customer assistant myself I found it an incredible display of ignorance maybe because she thought everyone was beyond intoxicated.. sorry no and automatic poor service. Just ruined a whole days of good service reputation. She wouldn't provide her name and neither would the security. Just keep that in mind.

2nd time at the Dairy Awards the Venue was good but the Food was not good and going by the full plates of food left on them this is the second time it's happened. Time to change the catering.

Very beautiful place worth visiting.
My first time at the pavilion, and everyone I spoke to found it very difficult to navigate such a sprawling complex, as there are no signs or maps. No complaints otherwise.
Went to Alpaca National comp. Was spose to be gold coin donation but they charged $5 each. The karana pavilion itself was very impressive tho probably due for a makeover.
Plenty of parking. Easy access from Sth Motorway. Very pretty with multiple patron spaces.
