Welcome to Kainui Road Boutique Vineyard in sunny Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Story

Welcome to Kainui Road Boutique Vineyard in sunny Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Enjoy boutique wines from our small family run vineyard. The areas surrounding the vineyard are undergoing an extensive revegetation programme.

The cellar door is open all summer from Labour Weekend to Easter, and by appointment.

Taste and buy our wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Syrah, Viognier and Tempranillo. Our 2012 and 2014 Sauvignon Blanc won Pure Bronze medals at the Bragato awards, as did our 2012 Viognier. Also our 2012 Tempranillo won a Bronze Medal at the 2013 New Zealand International Awards as did the 2013 Tempranillo at the 2014 Bragato.

We have recently planted Chardonnay and Gerwurtztraminer.

Our wines are grown sustainably and our vineyard is accredited by Sustainable Wines of New Zealand.

Excellent evening @Kainui Vineyard, Midsummer Night's Dream, beautiful venue, friendly staff. Very enjoyable production, the actors were amazing, even little Mustard seed. The Gazebo is definitely worth the money, comfy seats, delicious platter and nice wine. Thank you.
Absolutely excellent beer and service - would highly recommend to anyone! We got a keg from Gary and Helen at Kainui for our wedding. We tried a few different local breweries and choose their pilsner which was world-class delicious and a great price. They supplied pouring equipment with CO2. They were very helpful and approachable since it was our first time doing our own keg. Most importantly the beer was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed it! Thanks Gary and Helen!
