Highly recommend JKA Timaru Karate for all age groups. Especially for young ones to develop focus and concentration abilities. Sensei Lizelle is an amazing teacher, mentor and the entire team at JKA Timaru are very encouraging.
My kids and myself have been and still are training with Sensei Lizelle. We all enjoy the time we have at the dojo where we are not only taught karate but also the technical aspect of what we are doing. Nothing in life is easy, but if we keep at it and put the effort into it, we will get there. Having Sensei Karl Chief Instructor of JKA NZ coming to our dojo at least 3 times a year is such a bonus for us.
Me and my son enjoy doing karate together. we also have noticed a huge difference with my sons attitude and attention span now. It is also a great way to bond together. many thanks sensei Lizelle
My son started Karate late last year, he was welcomed and incourged straight away to give it a go. The training from Sensi Lizelle is well thought out, structured and balanced. A good mixture of students from many backgrounds and age groups makes for a good training environment. Highly recommend.

My son is learning karate at JKA Timaru Karate and he enjoys every moment of it and teaching is very good
My girls started at 4 and a half and they love it. My oldest is 8 and she has gained her orange belt already. Great atmosphere, awesome sensei's.
Really glad I decided to give this a go. Fantastic Sensei and a great, supportive group of people to train with. Haven't felt as healthy as I do now in a long time.
