The best nzmca camp to park up and enjoy the best of what the town has to offer. There are heaps of interesting museums lost hubby for the day at the bike museum the demolition world and the transport museum. The camp works really well with all the facilities needed to enjoy the area. Very close to the sea scouts wharf and bike tracks.
An excellent NZMCA part plenty of room and very handy to Town has freshwater and a dump Station.
Very interesting place to stay overnight , we stayed 3 . Clothes line available. Dog friendly must be on a leash . Bike trail leading from NZMCA park . Skip on site for rubbish. Around 30 motorhomes/caravans parked around home. Building to sign in , half of a fishing trawler .
Great park.nGravel spots. Water and dumb station
Conveniently located close to the estuary and walking/cycling trails, also a short drive or longer walk into town. Dump station across the road but NB no water supply. Water connection in the park will be coming soon. Be aware that the upper grassed level can be waterlogged and boggy but is sectioned cordoned off. Plenty of hatdstand area on lower level.
