We stayed here at Labour Weekend and wished I had of read the reviews before booking. We stayed in a family cabin, queen bed and set of bunks. The ensuite bathroom was a disgrace, black mould all over the window sill and window. The step leading up to the unit has a hole. Main kitchen is a mess. I went to grab some utensils etc for breakfast....they had food all over them, seats are stained. The grounds were really horrible looking, I will add that Invercargill on a wet horrible day isn't much fun anyway, but still, have some pride and sort your camping ground out.
The facilities are old. You have to enter the password to take a shower to get hot water, and there will be no hot water after about seven minutes.nnThe Wifi limit is only 1GB. If you have to re-enter the password when you go out and come back, the network is very slow. I'm really angry, especially when looking up information.nnThere is a strange smell in the kitchen, which is very similar to the smell of the hospital. It doesn't smell very good.nFortunately, we live in a camper and can use the kitchen in our own car.
Camped here on multiple occasions, for 22$, put up your tent, have a quick shower, and then walk in town is great. Kitchen got everything you need. Worth for the money, nothing fancy
I stayed here once and booked again . It's good central location for solo visits was affordable. Rooms could do with a small radio alarm clock or tv .nnParking outside the rooms and safe area of city
We stayed in a room with an ensuite.nBroken furniture.nLight not working.nPeeling wallpaper.nBad smell.nStained/dirty pillowcases.nNo hairdryer.nTwo towels for four people.nTwo mugs for four people.nLeaking toilet.nIt felt unwelcoming and not hugely secure, as there were no other guests.nStaff/owners were friendly but didn’t stay on site.nAbsolutely not worth anything close to $160/night.nUnfortunately one of those situations where the owners need to invest a bit of money to make some money.
