Good so far, heading to Levin $80.99 for ticket , ppl should listen to driver when he asks for bags, they all stand there like deaf zoombizs. Fark 10 hours on this bus & it's not a double decker GRRR. Tuesday 29 November 2022.
My bus from Auckland to Tauranga last week on 2/12 was delayed by a little over an hour as it was broken down at the terminal at SkyCity. No mention of it to us overheating passengers on the bus by the driver nor any email/text from the company even though their site says they’ll notify passengers in the event of a delay. I requested a partial refund as the delay made me late for a special event in Tauranga and NO RESPONSE from anyone. I’ll never use their services ever again.
Third-party made a booking for my children to travel up north for whatever reason they booked the incorrect date. All I can say is that intercity bus service desk did everything possible to rectify the issue literally bending over backwards to insure that my children got to the destination can’t speak highly enough of the friendly staff helpful service from the lady at the sky city bus terminal customer counter :-
A reasonable service needed it Auckland-Taupo return, bus is clean and comfortable. Except reclining seats, USB charging port did not work, and there is no toilet instead "refreshment stop", where you can use one at a gas station. When I tried to rebook a flexi ticket, it seems my booking was discarded from their system, even though I found no available time to rebook onto. I am grateful to the driver to take me back to Auckland.
My fellow Kiwis, I realise this is no small ask since InterCity have the monopoly on so many routes, but please try to avoid patronising this most un-Kiwi of companies. I booked a "flexi" ticket for my friend which claimed to be fully refundable, for a whopping $140 from Wellington to Hamilton. He then managed to get a rental car relocation instead - which is why we booked "flexi" in the first place! After rushing home through hectic Christmas traffic today 21 December, I try to call InterCity, but get two minutes of hold music followed by constant unanswered ringing at two call centres. So I plug in my laptop and try to cancel online instead. I click on the cancel button, it sends me to an acceptance screen, but then I see nothing about a refund or credit. So I call two differernt branches once again, whilst also sending an enquiry via the website. Just as I'm about to hang up for the final time, my call is answered by Falomi, who tells me that my cancellation was ten minutes past the cut off 5.00pm, but puts me on hold to go and ask her supervisor when I explained that the delay was due to communication issues. After a few more minutes on hold I have now spent much more time on hold to InterCity than the tardiness in cancelling the booking alleged by InterCity, Falomi comes back to me, apologising profusely for her supervisor had refused to refund me and was instead offering a 12 month credit for the booking which was $140, more than I've spent on InterCity in the past three years. I responded to Falomi that I consider this illegal it is a breach of contract and I requested the name of the supervisor who made this illegal decision, which she gave to me as Yashu. I reiterated that I considered this conduct some of the most atrocious customer service I had ever encountered, and offered Yashu the opportunity to call me back before 6.00pm with a better outcome. However, I have had no response whatsoever, so I officially name Yashu at InterCity the Grinch of Christmas 2022. I truly feel sorry for Falomi and her colleagues working for such a petty tyrant as Yashu, a man who smugly hides behind bureaucratic technicalities to deny his fellow Kiwis a fair go. What a disgrace!
Buses break down, wrong signs on busses sometimes. No offer of refunds for 30+min delays. Sometimes rude drivers add to the terrible services, especially if you don't have brown skin.
Except for maybe one or two bus drivers, I have always had rude staff which are frustrating to deal with. The buses aren’t so bad itself hence a 2 star - but some people working here are simply difficult to deal with at times.

I booked a bus ticket for my husband to Auckland international airport today.The first booking send us a time-delay about 45mins so we change the schedule departure earlier with extra money.However the changed one still delay and even worse. It is said that the bus had problems on the way and had to go to the Auckland city centre. May I ask is the international airport far than Auckland city center from Hamilton or manukau??? Then my husband was dropped off downtown and asked to make his own way to the airport. I would say that without our friend's help, he would have delayed his flight today, and his Covid 19 2tests 48hrs ago which cost $410 would have been invalid. All travel plans will be disrupted. The irresponsible behaviour of the bus company is very infuriating.They don’t even give a backup plan for the unexpected situations. I will not take this company in the future.So disappointed!!!
Wrost service ever received in my life rude unprofessional ni compassion. I have booked my ticket from manukau to hamilton bus arrived i did gave him my name and he took off. The next bus came with empty seats i explained that last driver too off its very urgent for me he to get to hamilton hr refused
