After a lot of research, I ended up buying a home studio package from Aaron, and I am super happy with the result. Not only is it quality equipment at a reasonable price, but you also get 2 hours of setup and training time with Aaron himself. This is huge if you are a novice like me. Aaron was able to get me up and running on my laptop, in my own home, making quality vocal recordings to backing tracks in a way that I could easily understand. I wouldn't have done it any other way. Great service.

Super happy with Aaron's In Home Recording Service. We spent 3 sessions with him putting down a range of tracks together and had a great experience. Aaron is very knowledgeable, organised and has an excellent ear. We also really appreciated his artistic input, top quality gear and the relaxed atmosphere.

Aaron was incredibly helpful and patient with me when I was in the process of buying an audio interface. When the item I wanted was out of stock with the supplier, he managed to find me an incredible deal for a unit that was significantly better than the one I originally wanted. Great buying experience. Aaron replies quickly to emails and inquiries. i had an issue with an Aston mic that I bought from him, but he went out of his way to sort me out. The mic came back good as new.

Over the last 20 years I've worked with a number of different recording studios and engineers, and by far and away Aaron is easily the best of the bunch! What sets him apart is his absolute dedication to any client or project. He has a knack of asking the right questions and finding out exactly what is most important to you and tailoring his service to this. Amazing patience, knowledge and expertise - and is quick to learn and understand anything 'outside the box' you may be looking for.... For absolute professionalism I believe there is no better than Indigo Oak Studio - I'd add more stars to this rating if I possibly could!

A bit slow on the uptake, Aaron has a habit of looking things up he should know while working with you. Not really what one expects to pay for. Up to a point that's acceptable as each situation can be a bit different but what is not acceptable is Aaron's insistence that you book a $40 'gear advice' session for a two minute phone call in preparation for a home visit/booking. This is simply amateurish and a sure way to lose long-term clients.

I ordered some speaker isolation pads at around midday. To my surprise they were shipped the same day, and were in my hands in Wellington two days later. Good product, pricing and service.
