Tuesday 04/10/2022 I went to apply for OCI. 2 girls behind the counter were super friendly and helpful. There were few other people as well but they were not pleased with the service because they did not have proper documents on them. I feel sorry for the girls because they have to deal with ignorant people like them. I worked majority of my life in Customer service and I can feel their pain. However, I must recommend people to properly check High commission's website for any consular service. All the information is on there. This will help High commission's representative to serve you well and in a efficient way. Thanks!!
No response at all for any query sent email two times no reply from their side. Tried to contact on their given number nobody bother to answer. I don't think they know the meaning of responsibility and customer service at all. Why we need them if they wouldn't able to do their job properly and at least they need to respect people to answer their queries. Poor service I ever get.
While vacationing in NZ, unfortunately my Indian passport got stolen. I contacted and visited the Indian High Commission, Wellington for getting an Emergency Certificate. The authorities were very supportive and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Shyam Agarwal and his team for such a quick and hassle free process done to produce an EC for me. It was a very pleasant and assuring experience. I am very happy with the quick processing done.
I applied for OCI in September and still haven't heard anything other than it says it's in progress.What is the best way to contact you to know that I will receive it in time before I fly home In Dec please. An update to the below response from Indian High Commission...I already has sent the email but haven't got any response yet

Don’t even want to give them a 1 star because they deserve more than that which is zero why they are sitting over there if they don’t want to answer the calls and emails , I call them 10-15 times a day and emails but no reply. Such a pathetic service I think they don’t even know what is customer service and time value that we waste to calls and emails them. shame on you guys I called to NZ embassy as well to make sure if I was trying wrong number but she gave me the same number I was trying.
Ankitha's classes have been very beneficial to me. Its become an interal part of my work week. Coming to class and being able to connect with myself. I leave feeling uplifted and ready to have a restful evening. I highly recommend coming to her classes regularly. Thanks to High Commission for organizing this
I am giving these stars only because there is a person Ashish works in the department who is diligent, proactive and a highly supportive in dealing with any of your issues. I tried so hard to communicate with high commission on several occasions for my son's OCI which was stuck in process for more than 4 to 5 months but hardly I got any response from. And when I almost lose all hope, then somebody suggested us to email on that particular email address and after just hours we received the email from Ashish that he will look into the issue. And next day our problem was all resolved.
If only I could give them a zero. Pathetic service!!! I've contacted them on average 20 calls each day for 5 days. There are 2 urgent lines mentioned on the website. Nobody answers those lines either. I sent a whatsapp message to the urgent enquiry number that my grandmother is critical in hospital could you please give me an update on my visa. They responded by saying the number is for urgent enquiries only. What part of my grandmother being critical isn't urgent? Now they're telling me they don't have my paperwork including my NZpassport. How incompetent staff that's rude and unsupportive. I was assured I would be contacted today with an update and that hasn't happened either. I was frustrated to the attendant yesterday and she told me I need to be careful as the call was being recorded. Right! Please make your management listen to the recorded call to understand how frustrating your service is. You all need a turn around at that office and a lot of training.
Hi there, I have tried calling your landline number provided 044736390 for 14 times since yesterday. After 4 pm there is no ringing tone and the phone just gets disconnected. Right now its just ringing continuously from past 20 mins and no answer. I have wasted a lot of my time which i won't be getting back . This is really disappointing and frustrating for a service in New Zealand as you don't have a call back feature on your phone service and no facility to leave a voicemail, something i will have to report to the Ombudsman as this is very unacceptable. I have a serious issue to discuss which i can't find much information on your website and i don't have enough time left on hand before i travel and due to the fact that your representatives do not answer the phone on the number provided on your official website in the business hours 9.00 am - 5.30 pm. I want someone to contact me and assist me with my query, as i don't want to have any unnecessary issues while i am travelling and do not want to get charged with any fines. Kind Regards,
