Food was fine - but bowls are not recyclable and I had a crazy amount of green onions in my bowl. Way too much and it spoiled the taste of the rest of the ingredients. A frined of mine had massive chunks of red onion in her dish which wasn't greay either. With so many other poke bowl places offering more sustainable options I probably won't bother coming back again.
Ika Bowl in Snickels Lane is one of new favourite poke bowl places in the CBD! The staff is fantastic to deal with being highly engaging and friendly and he food is exceptional, fresh, amazing texture and interesting ingredients combinations with their range of bowls. I ordered the Fiery Irie Bowl with turmeric soda and thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of the doused king salmon in chilli, spicy sriracha aioli with salad. Truly amazing!
My workmate just had a very bad experience with them, here is her feedback: "I clearly specified in the notes for the kitchen 'No cabbage', yet almost half of the meal was cabbage! In addition, I clearly specified in the order and notes for the kitchen that cutlery was required: 'fork, knife and spoon', but they sent me chopsticks instead! Then I spoke to the owner on the phone and told him that I wanted them to send me the correct meal, the way I ordered it, and he said the only thing he could do was refund me, and that if wanted the same meal, I would have to re-order online, or he would send the meal but I would have to pay the $6 delivery charge. My question to him: Why would I have to pay a delivery charge twice? He said there was nothing else he could do. It's not about receiving a refund but about getting things right first time to avoid bad experiences for customers. I wasted my precious lunch break time waiting for an order that was delivered all wrong. Kitchen staff obviously don't read the notes/specifications entered online by customers. Very disappointing."
So delicious! Customise your own poke bowl or let them do the thinking for you and pick anything off the menu, it's all amazing. Super friendly staff too, just wish they had a location in Wellington!
Staffs were friendly, foods were awesome really enjoyed.
The experience and food was horrible, as a Pacific Islander I did have high expectations of Pacific fusion food. Sorely disappointed, 1. the service was so bad, unfriendly service from Pacific young shameful. I was made to feel inferior. I wasn't the demographic they were wanting to serve. 2. I realized why when I ate the food and found Pacific it wasn't and fusion most definitely not. All the "foodies" thinking this is polyfusion you've been had . good stuff guys on ripping people off while using the "polybrand" good on ya. I won't fault you on what others have done to us, we can do it to ourselves and make a buck. Good on ya
Tried this place once and would definitely go back. Fresh and delicious food. Really enjoyed every mouthful. Staff are young, vibrant, friendly and helpful. Awesome spot
Attended a workshop where this outlet catered for us LOVE LOVE LOVE. Fresh food, fresh ingredients, fresh menu what more can you ask for. Much xo Ra and business partners #MeanKai Great concept too. The Katchaflame bowl was amazing. So fresh and spicy and full of tangy flavours. Perfectly balanced! Can’t wait for my next one!
