Stylish cottages with breathtaking sea views located in Punakaiki on the Westcoast of New Zealand.

Story

Hydrangea Cottages are located 600m south of the Pancake Rocks (one of New Zealand's premier tourist attractions).

We offer boutique 1 and 2 bedroom cottages set amongst native bush with panoramic sea views.

The Punakaiki river mouth is five minutes by foot and is a great swimming spot during the summer months.

Additionally, we run a horse trekking stable down the road, with the opportunity to go riding in the valley and on the beach with our well trained horses and experienced guides! There is a special discount for people joining on our horse treks who stay in the cottages overnight. Please give us a call if you are interested to discuss the possibilities!

Spectacular views from kitchen and deck. The cottage is just the right size, two spacious bedrooms. The biggest opportunity is decor needs upgrading. That said, too price for the dated decor.
Wonderful place near beach. Cabins have a lot of character and lotsa privacy. Near the hotel there are few places to eat and buy souvenirs. Management was very responsive. I highly recommend this hotel, probably the best option in town.
Karen is a great host who went well out of her way to help us. It was a lovely stay, peaceful and cosy and in a great location for walks around Punakaiki. Highly recommend

We stayed in the stable cottage which the owner advised they had just finished very cute and rustic. Clean and comfortable bed such a nice place to stay highly recomend the owner was very helpful and even dropped us to the pub to watch the rugby even though we lost
Very kind hosts and a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in Nikau cottage. The deck overlooking the ocean gives superb views of the sunset over the ocean. Highly recommend.
