Die Huka-Fälle sind eine Kaskade von Wasserfällen des Waikato River unweit seines Ursprungs im Lake Taupo in Neuseeland. Sie befinden sich im Taupo District, wenige Kilometer nördlich der Stadt Taupo.Der anfangs 100 m breite Fluss zwängt sich dabei in einen schmalen, nur 15 m breiten Canyon und spült durchschnittliche 140.000 Liter pro Sekunde über die einzelnen Stufen, um schließlich 11 m tief über die Klippe zu stürzen.Eine beliebte Touristenattraktion sind Jetboot-Fahrten bis zum Fuße des Wasserfalls.Die Wasserfälle galten lange als unbefahrbar, doch im Jahre 1981 waren die Kajakfahrer Greg Oke und Nick Kerkham bei einem niedrigeren Wasserstand erstmals erfolgreich.Siehe auch Liste der Wasserfälle in NeuseelandWeblinks Website zu den Huka Falls Erstbefahrung der Huka Falls (englisch)
