Never disappoints, absolutely disgusting and filthy every single time. Seats, the floor, the handles, everything is like a pig sty. Unfortunately, although we hate this cinema and avoid it like a plague, we have to sometimes visit it.nnI understand that not everyone is responsible I'm cleaning their rubbish and sometimes people behave like animals. And this is the reason the cinema should have a hover and a clean in between shows. I would not have written this review if it happened once but this is the case every single timennIF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, AVOID IT!!!
I wanted to book online to save time, turns out you get charged $5 for the convenience, so went in early to book to find out the kiosk doesn’t offer the family deal, so went to the counter asked what the online booking fee was for, they didn’t know, why charge more to save your staff time? And the combo ‘deals’ as it turns out don’t save you any money, want to get 2 drinks and popcorn? Oh get the special deal and pay a full $9 something for an extra cup of fizzy, $100 for 3 of us really detracts from the experience, theatre itself is fine and so are the staff, just greedy corporate pushing the limits of our budgets as usual
As it's Hoyts was expecting similar seating as in Auckland, so was pretty disappointed with old, grubby looking seats. The whole cinema needs a bit of a revamp, I think. The first set of toilets, the ladies' bathroom, did not smell clean. At least the movie we saw was good. Movie was at 12.20pma quiet place on Friday, 5th July.
My friend and I went to Ladies night last night but never again. What a shambles, no one to guide us where to go etc. Queued up with everyone else be told food only and go around to the left where we joined another very long queue. Finally got into half empty cinema but the film was paused to let the other half in, 30 minutes later we watched the film.We paid 36.50 for a movie ticket and a glass of wine, no goodie bag as we have had previously at other venues.nWe will stick to the Silky Otter in future, such a shame.
Had an experience today with a young women called Amelia. Absolutely APPALLED. Her attitude towards us was so unbelievably rude and she should definitely not be working in customer service. Please train your staff properly and not let them speak to your customers like that! I will not be returning.
