Was a bit hard to find, but got there in the end. Staff amazing, really helpful, especially as car parking was not that easy. Only 2 disabled spots and the overflow car park wasn't that close. Not the staff's fault - but they did their best to sort it out. We ate in the cafe, pizza was really nice, puddings lovely, main and pud £12.75, which was really good value for money. We stayed for 2 nights, every member of staff we met, from front of house to the staff cleaning the rooms, were polite and helpful.
It was a good location for attending a wedding. Parked in the overflow section which could be do with better signage. Checking in was nice and quick even with the staff member needing balance this task and serve drinks behind the bar. Basic rooms that was clean and warm. Had unlimited breakfast - all food cooked well.Rooms: 4/5
Would give it 0 stars if I could. Booked for 4 nights from New Years Eve. Have stayed there before and while it's basic, it wasn't bad. But this time.. we got given the disabled/wheelchair access room. Nothing wrong with this except the fact that we hadn't requested this and the room was not what we expected for the price we paid. The bathroom was all open and had handrails everywhere, it was dirty and smelt. I literally was like nah as soon as I walked in and went downstairs to ask for a room change, of course, no rooms available. Ended up leaving and booking Holiday Inn which was so much better. Honestly, not worth saving a few quid. Had to wait for staff too when checking in. Only positive was the staff member we complained to who actually was shocked we were placed in this room as it wasn't requested.
The hotel is fantastic, basic but everything you need for a weekend away, staff are friendly and welcoming on arrival. however car parking is horrendous especially for disabled badge holders 2 spaces!! . They need to seriously look at opening up the Dock area across from the entrance for parking nearer the hotel or purchasing the waste land for additional parking. Will be looking for alternative hotels in future will ample parking near the hotel. Room was lovely and clean, nice touch to put a note on the door in the mornings for refreshment refills of tea & coffee & towels... Noteworthy details: If your disabled access is limited and parking 2 spaces is poor. No smoking sheltered from the rain a nice canopy nearer the entrance would be handy
2 nights at this Travel Lodge conveniently situated for Chatham Docks exploration. Staff, Toby, Sam and the other gentleman at the desk were exceptionally kind to help when asked and problem instantly sorted. All very clean and tidy and no hesitation to returning at any time in the future. Husband had a very successful and memorably birthday to remember. Thank you. Rooms: Basic rooms, but more than comfortable for the small amount of time spent there. I don't know whether they do 'baths' in some rooms, another time I would find out ahead - a day exploring the docks, a bath would have been welcomed to have relaxed in. All clean and tidy. Staff were quick to give us a suitable plug in heater as a substitute for the failure of the heating system to work - this did not cause us any problems, nor did it mar the time spent away. Nearby activities: Outlet centre as an addition to exploring the dockyards, but no 'big' stores. Google before thinking of going, main aim is the dockyards. Walkability: Safe and easy to walk about. Perfect for exploring the Historic dockyards. Tons of parking. Food & drinks: A good bar and a good selection of cooked and continental food served for breakfast. I think maybe fruit salad could be improved upon, but didn't spoil the overall stay. Dinner menu more than ample, but mostly 'fast food' selection.
We use Travelodge all over the country for work purposes, this particular one was in a great location for both work and pleasure however! On arrival it took 3 members of staff to finally check me in, firstly they couldn't find the booking, then they said I had wifi and breakfast included instead of our dog booked on and lastly the company had paid for a family room and the member of staff who finally checked us in was insistant we shouldnt have a family room! 3 times he tried to get me to change to a double but if we had wanted a double we would of booked one! He told me having a family room was a waste for 2 adults and a dog! Room was clean, bed uncomfortable, heating not working but they did supply a heater when this was reported. Bathroom was in need of a good clean and some refurbishment.
Great breakfast, especially the sausages. "Scrambled eggs" were powdered though, so awful. The coffee machine was broken, only instant available. The room was small but ok. The bathroom was not great; it was quite dirty and unkempt. Not in a rush to go back! Nearby activities: Very close yo a few bars and restaurants. Food & drinks: Breakfast was really good. Would be even better if the coffee machine worked and it had real eggs, maybe black pudding too.
Can’t believe how shocking this place is , so on arrival two members of staff at reception young lad and young blonde girl ,young lad was great the young girl swearing and shouting and have a laugh with someone that has been housed there by the council, we then went up to our room which was clean and dropped our bags. Myself and my wife are smokers so we popped out for cig to be bombarded by ex cons and people the council are housing there with them asking for cigarettes should of been stated at the time these people are being put up in the hotel when we booked the bed was broken and mattress awful , literally the worst nights sleep ever, the all you can eat breakfast that I paid for us both to have was literally disgusting , dog food would of tasted better and to think we travelled 200 miles to stay for a funeral, thought we would have a pleasant stop ….what a joke!! If there had of been someone on reception on check I would have demanded half if not all of my money back….. do not stay here
Great service from Haman but rooms were disappointing - stained bedding and carpets and not properly hoovered. Bathroom walls also grubby. Generally unclean Walkability: Less than 5 mins walk from dockside with it's shops and restaurants
I booked a room elsewere that we walked straight out of, went to travelodge maritime, was greeted by sam, and what a lovely helpful person he was, within 5 minutes was sure we made the right decision, from then on the service from him just got better and betterRooms: 5/5
