Honest 10

About

The Honest 10 is a monthly 10km & 5km race held from outside Freyberg Pool, Oriental Bay to the Evan's Bay Wind Needle and back. Registration is on the day from 8:30am for a 9am race start. Entry 10km: $10; 5km: $5.

Story

The Summer Series of the Honest 10 starts on Sunday 15 November and there is prize money to be won!

Overall performance prizes
Prize money will be awarded to the 10km runners with the best four performances over the six-race series. Performances will be age-adjusted and each runner’s best four age-adjusted times will be added together. Those with the lowest total times over their four best races win! Age adjustments will be made using the Runner’s World calculator that can be found at http://www.runnersworld.com/pace-calculators/age-graded-calculator
There will be a separate category for men and women with the prize money divided as follows:
Women
First place - $250
Second place - $150
Third place - $100
Men
First place - $250
Second place - $150
Third place - $100

Fastest time for the series
There will also be two $100 prizes for the fastest 10km runs of the series. One for the fastest woman and one for the fastest man. These times will not be age-adjusted.
