We stayed 3 nights at Hilton Deluxe lake view two bedrooms, very comfortable however we wish our room is bigger to accommodate four adults and 1 child, it’s a little small. We enjoyed our dinner at the Wakatipu Grill, service was excellent and all the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful! My son loved the indoor swimming pool! Great facilities on offer! The water taxi offers great service to transfer between the hotel and Queenstown, it’s very convenient and we would like to see the service runs more frequently than its current hourly service
Beautiful views from the residence! Spacious, housekeeping daily, clean, big refrigerator with creamers inside. Water complimentary everyday.nWe booked this place mainly for the In room washer dryer so we could carry less luggage. Little like a maze though to get in and out of the hotel. Good breakfast gluten free section available too. The indoor pool, spa and sauna was quiet and relaxing.nIt’s just a few steps from water taxi that takes us to town center. We did see a portrait studio but did not get it, you can book pretty much any tours at the concierge.nThe airport is only 10 mins away and queenstown city center drive is around ~25 mins based on traffic.
Comfortable stay with good parking if traveling with a vehicle. Quiet location away from Queenstown downtown but in good proximity to the airport.nnSignage inside the hotel is a bit confusing and in some cases you feel you are navigating a maze. We noticed other couples and families were also getting lost.nnVery nice views from the hotel and the room was excellent.
First and foremost the service was amazing. I was disappointed though with a few things. I am at a very high status with Hilton and essentially used a ton of points for this room. As you can see in the photos, we were placed in possibly the worst room location. The view as seen in the photos was of a concrete wall. As far as cleanliness, the hallways had trash in them. Our room definitely needed a makeover and the bed mattress had to be over 5 to 10 years old. It felt more like a water bed. The location is very much not nearby Queenstown. It was around 15 to 20 minute car ride to the city center and frankly I don't understand why they built a hotel so far away. Again, very kind staff that unfortunately didn't recognize my loyalty or status but could not have been nicer. I wouldn't stay here because of the cleanliness, date rooms, very uncomfortable mattress and location.
Lovely stay at the Hilton. We had a relaxation room. A couple of very minor issues like the tv remove control not working but the service was good and a short walk from our room to breakfast each day was great. The gardens and grounds are kept beautifully. Great success to the walking track that goes around the lake. You will hear planes being close to the airport but overall lovely stay.
