The beautifully updated Hilton Lake Taupo is a short drive to the charming Taupo town center, only 15 minutes away from Taupo (TUO) Airport. The Terraces is our Heritage Wing, where private balconies offer lake and thermal valley views. The newer wing of Hilton Lake Taupo offers self-contained apartments and guest rooms with sweeping vistas of Lake Taupo or Onekeneke Thermal Valley.

Really enjoyed my 2 nights here! Staying in a King Deluxe room in the Heritage wing was an absolute delight. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the only thing that could have added to the experience was an airchair or small couch. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge, I loved the shower and the heated flooring but the bath was heavenly. The pool and spa area were a real highlight! Plenty of space and beautifully warm water. The gym was well equipped. Room service was quick, friendly and good portions. Preferred room service over the hotel restaurant, although my dinner there was delicious, room service topped it. Hotel is in a great location, easy to access all Taupo has to offer. Overall, such a great stay, look forward to visiting again.
Hilton Lake Taupo was amazing. Beautiful views, comfortable rooms that were extremely clean and spacious. The service was friendly and helpful for anything we required. Dinner was delicious and buffet breakfast had a wonderful variety to choose from. Pool and spa was sensational. Highly recommended
Reception was very welcoming. Management were extremely helpful in organizing excellent rooms which were luxurious, clean and comfortable. Some highlights for us were: The professional, attentive, yet friendly, approach of all the hotel staff; delicious food; comfortable beds; luxurious room amenities and the heated pool/ spa complex. We were very happy that we decided to re visit The Hilton Taupo and will definitely return.
We had a business meeting of a large group including end of year function here this week. It was a great stay. Rooms were very spacious, quiet and bed super comfortable. Service was awesome and food excellent. The hotel did a top job of the Christmas theme for our dinner. All in all, Ioved this hotel. Highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5
We initially booked a junior suite, but at the point of checking in, we took the offer to upgrade to a one bed room apartment for an additional fee. It was well worth the fee. The room was big, the amenities were new, well maintained and impressive, and the overall surroundings just made the stay extremely relaxing. We also used the pool and jacuzzi and they were great as well!
The facilities were impeccable. The gym, spa and sauna were amazing and the food in the restaurant was to die for. They allowed animals which was just awesome and they really looked after us with treats, doggy poo bags and recommendations for places to eat and visit. Will definitely be visiting again.
Was very disappointed ! Hairs and mould in the shower and hairs in the bed , old chewing gum etc behind the curtains the room was not cleaned to a high standard . Around the pool was disgusting with old food and towels everywhere and the dirty towel bin over flowing and no available clean towels in bin . The room service was hard to get ahold of and both times forgot half our order . The restaurant was not accommodating in the morning when we were 1 min late for breakfast. And you would think for the price the mini bar would be stocked or at least Water in the fridge . Or toothbrush packs , I have stayed in less expensive hotels with more service and care and cleaner .
Paid for the presidential suite and it was not worth the price. Suite is very outdated, not well furnished and the decor was not what I would expect from a suite including ripped books placed randomly. We also arrived very late in night/early morning and the heating wasn’t even turned on for us. We did book very late in the evening to which the hotel was very accomodating, however I would have expected more from a suite. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was delicious and included great options.
Very nice hotel about 5 minutes driving from downtown. The rooms are very nice with private patio areas and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is centrally located and there is a decent restaurant on site. Parking is a bit limited if you want to get into the free lot but there is plenty of paid parking if necessary.Rooms: 5/5
A last minute 3 day stay at the Hilton was spectacular. From the moment we walked through the front doors we were greeted with warmth and respect. The food was incredible and a particular shout out to Joy who went beyond good service to Make us feel so at home and welcome. Thankyou Joy and the team for a memorable stay.Rooms: 5/5
