If i could give this resto a ZERO, i would!!!nnWarning: Traumatising story ahead…nn1 March 25. Just before 6pm tonight, our family was at The Hilltop to celebrate my brother in law’s birthday when a very traumatic thing happened to us,especially to my 20-month old daughter.nnAs one of their waitress was serving our orders, she went over to where my daughter was sitting and passed by her while holding 2 plates of steaks over her head!!! The waitress dropped a BIG STEAK KNIFE on my daughter’s head!!! We saw the knife hit Eliana’s head, bounced and dropped on the floor! We were so scared and shocked as we didnt know at first if it was the sharp end that hit her head and face! She was crying so loud because of the pain and shock! And we had to check if there was blood or if she was hit by the sharp end… Thankfully it wasnt the sharp end but it still hurt a lot as it was the solid handle that hit her.nnWe were all so traumatised as we think of the worse thing that could have happened… What if it was the sharp end that hit her head directly??? It COULD HAVE KILLED my baby Thinking about it now just makes me sick and crynnManager was so rude as hell. No proper apology and didnt even ask how my daughter was after the incident.Manager even raised her voice on my sister when she was talking to her.The way she deals with customer is very rude! I dont think she is trained properly in customer service and in handling situations like this. Not taking this lightly, something needs to be done!!!
Very disappointed with our meals this evening. This is a regular spot for our family and we have meals we always order. The food was very average all round. The pork belly bites were squishy. The pot pie gave off a burnt taste. The chicken was bland. The chips were very bland too. All over the meals were very mediocre and we did not finish either plate. Even our cokes were disgusting, our children didn't drink them. They tasted like they were watered down. All around, the whole meal was awful.nThe staff seemed dull and like they did not want to be there. When we gave our feedback, the hostess was very rude and did not care at all about our complaints.nThis is very disappointing as this was a favourite place of ours but unfortunately we will not be returning. To be spending this type of money and leaving feeling very dissatisfied. We eneded up going to maccas, that says it all.
I was going to email about this but saw the most recent review so I feel it’s important to share what I personally saw.nnA staff member accidentally dropped a knife while serving. It fell nearby but did not hit anyone. We were at a table nearby and had a clear view. The baby only became distressed after the parents reacted and started fussing.nnThe mother then displayed some of the most inappropriate behavior I've ever seen. Screaming at the staff and even going to the extent of hitting her on the wrist. Regardless of frustration, that behaviour is completely unacceptable.nnThe staff had immediately apologised and attempted to clarify what had happened, but was repeatedly interrupted and not given the opportunity to explain.nnThe team needs a gold star.nnAccidents happen, but assaulting hospitality staff is not okay.
BBQ Ribs is incredibly tender- falling off the bone and sweet BBQ glaze.nRibs were juicy and full of flavor paired with chips.nMeet with wedges and sauce- perfect combo of crispy, fluffy wedges topped with meat. The sauce is overpowering the dish.nOverall great.
29 friends and family came to celebrate a significant birthday the only let down was the meals coming out the way they did. We gave them a list of people and what they had ordered for the most part it was great but got shabby at the beginning and the end. The names should of coincided with the meal. Staff were great ambience also great. Will come again
