Was there on a Saturday night. Wait for food wasn't terribly long but staff didn't communicate that you ordered and picked up your own food so we were waiting until we checked.nnPlace looks gorgeous and atmosphere was lovely but the range of drinks and price of food reflect an upmarket cafe whereas the range of food and ordering at the bar and bringing out your own food are more reminiscent of a cheap sports bar. Even Breakers brings out your meal.nnThe food was fine but every meal was over-salted. Asked for no mayo on cauliflower bites as the person was vegan. Mayo was poured over as usual. Nothing else aside from fries was able to be adapted to be vegan.nnWon't be returning for a meal, maybe for drinks. At the bare minimum, staff should bring food to the tables.
Been here for 30th birthday last night. Really really yummy food. 10/10 delicious.nPrices are good nI hate crowded places personally and this place was definitely that. Loads of people, very noisy and chaotic at the bar.nI liked that you had to order food at the bar because it meant at the end you could just leave with no confusion on sorting the bill.nIt wasn’t so good for my 75 year old aunty who isn’t very mobile because the tables are packed into the room and there were soo many people at the bar. It would be better if there was a seperate place for ordering.nMy dad with hearing aids couldn’t participate in any conversations because it was so loud and I couldn’t talk to anyone at other end of table because I couldn’t hear them.
SUCH A VIBE! Hella good food for cheap. The service is fast, staff are onto it and the decor is beautiful. A very boujie, greenery, fancy kinda vibe. The place is packed most nights so booking would definitely make getting a table easier. But it's a good sign when a place is usually booked up! Highly recommend to check it out at least once. Heaps of parking too
Went here for lunch with my boyfriend knowing nothing about this place. We were pleasantly surprised, the food was really delicious and we were drooling over the orders coming out of kitchen. Only negative is that it did take a long time for our order to come out, but it was completely worth it in the end.nnWould completely recommend checking this place out and we will be back.
Hilltop has a great atmosphere. It's the sort of place you will want to keep going back to. It's fresh, fun and inviting. The meals are a great size and delicious. The cocktails are scrummy and all the different gins over 140 are mind blowing.
