Yes but absolutely no if you have been to Japan and know what good ramen is about. The noodles were decent, the miso soup passable but not on point, the shop had a bad smell from the very second you stepped inside to the point I considered leaving —but eventually thought to give it a chance— the ingredients were not that fresh and the egg was black inside so I avoided it. There must be better around
I can’t speak on their ramen, but this kimchi gyudon was so good. Maybe the fact that I was so hungry played a part, but I enjoyed every part of this meal. Reminds me exactly of the gyudon I eat in Japan, of course it’s much much cheaper there and the meat strips arnt as long as the one in hey ramen which made it a bit difficult to eat, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this. Edit: I tried the ramen and it wasn’t that great.
Excellent and flavourful Ramen. Got the spicy ramen and it didn't disappoint. Delicious well balanced broth and great pale yellow noodles show the chef knows what they are doing. Many varieties of Ramen to choose from including the epic Kimchi Ramen. There are plenty of other delicious things to have it Ramen is not your thing.... Yet. Staff are really friendly and helpful and know all the menu items well enough to explain the differences. This help when a group of tourists wants to try something different. So take a chance and give this place a chance before it becomes too famous.
Pretty tasty ramen broth with many different broth options on the menu. I like that they have many different toppings to keep it interesting too. They only downside is that the noodles were slightly undercooked. It’s good ramen but not the best, good for a quick lunch
Shop hours and location are excellent. Service is quick. Picture is of a half-finished bowl of miso ramen. I have come here 3 times and each time I left feeling underwhelmed by the ramen. Everything one expects in a bowl of ramen is here, but the experience is not entirely fulfilling: the broth is not hot enough, the noodles aren't cooked enough, the soft boiled egg is cold from the fridge. I recommend to someone who has never had good ramen before but not to someone who has had ramen in Japan before.
Good flavour to the ramen broth. Soft and really strong flavour to tonkatsu. But since they put in everything cold into the broth you have to make sure to dunk! Tried side dishes of Karaage chicken - super soft and tender and also the raw octopus - pretty fresh. Not many options for ramen in the city. This is a solid affordable option.
Very affordable and very delicious. I ordered a big bowl of ramen and it is was only $17 and a great portion with lots of veg/meat. I was a little disappointed with a cold egg, as it cooled the ramen broth down, but it was not worth marking the place down for. I’m amazed this doesn’t have a higher rating!
Had the Jigoku Ramen. It was pretty spicy but I really like spicy food, so that was all good! There was a good mix of things in the soup, charshu pork, mushrooms, greens and a egg. Service was good too! Would recommend.
Looking for a place for lighter meal just after work I was delighted to see they are open until 8pm. Staff is drier and happy to explain the dish if required and recommend a spicy ones when I asked for those. Serving is quite large but it does not feel heavy. Also, is was delivered to my table quickly. My sanshou ramen was spicy and made my lips tingle. I will be back there again.
Chicken katsu no mayo tastes good and is made to order. Service is quick and staffs are friendly. You can even choose your own donburi topping. Other than donburi, there’s also ramen, udon, fried rice options available.
