Went to this cafe yesterday in Blenheim searching for breakfast and decided on this place because it looked cute and cosy but we liked the look of the outdoor seats and table.nAmazing brownie!! Best I’ve ever had, possibly in my life, and for $7 was like eating dense gooey chocolate bar with sprinkling of dried raspberries- totally decadent.nI was so impressed I went to compliment the baker? Josie, my apologies if I’ve got it wrong.nThe brownie was delicious accompanied by my long black they use Kokako coffee
The food was presented well and high quality. Tasted delicious. Free range eggs and a generous portion of smashed avocado. Even my partner’s picky child loved her French toast and commented on how nice it was. Beautiful vanilla matcha latte. Very happy bellies. The waitress had a lovely infectious bright energy
Honestly the coffee was on point! The barista knew how to pull a good shot and temper the milk appropriately so it was silky smooth. We also had their food and it was very tasty. Very friendly staff!
I think people who eat here and give it five stars, have never been to a major city cafe.nnThis is very average food and the service was not so friendly apart from the lady who handed us the food, she had a glowing smile.nnA lot of the customers were old women who seem to be here to have their little catch-up, that's the entire vibe of the shop.nnNever have I seen so many staff achieving so little either, took ages for food to come out then the lady that gave us the food didn't check if we had the appropriate cutlery, so we had to go get knives ourselves. It's these stupid butter knives which are a pain to use when eating a Benedict. None of the tables had the little number placeholders removed, which makes me wonder how is there so many staff working but they don't even check if tables have the right cutlery or remove stuff quickly, it's not like the place was totally full. Redeemer was the smoothie, that was decent and better than the food.nnThe food is presented beautifully, I'll give them that, however the taste is not that amazing. Portions are small but that lines right up with the old lady clientele.nnGo to another cafe, I regret not checking out the ones up the road which offer seemingly better price/value.nnDon't believe the reviews, this is not a 5 star experience.
