'Hello Stranger' offers a brunch experience that is as satisfying as it is memorable. From the moment you step in, the service is impeccable—attentive, polite, and efficient. The staff ensures your table is promptly set with that first refreshing glass of water, and they’re quick to clear plates once you’ve finished, maintaining a seamless dining experience.nnThe star of the meal was undoubtedly the Magic Mushrooms on Toasted Five-Grain Bread. This dish is a masterclass in balance and flavour. The creamy mushroom mixture was rich but not overly heavy, lightly salted to perfection, and generously piled onto the hearty toast. The addition of crispy kale provided a delightful textural contrast, while the occasional bite of chorizo added a smoky, savoury depth. The crowning glory was the two perfectly poached eggs, their golden yolks gloriously runny, cascading over the dish at the slightest touch of a fork.nn'Hello Stranger' is more than just a place to eat—it’s a destination. Whether you’re catching up with colleagues, enjoying a leisurely meal with friends, or simply treating yourself to a solo brunch, the warm ambiance and exceptional food make it a standout choice. I’ll undoubtedly return whenever I’m in the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a brunch spot that delivers on every front.
Hello Stranger is a lovely cafe with both lovely staff and food. The food was done beautifully and was jam packed full of flavour and passion. The staff were very friendly and helpful when In need of assistance. Ps this place gets extra points because they are dog friendly .
Great cafe. My go-to in the area for meetups with friends.n2 of its walls are glass, providing lots of natural light into the cafe.nIt has a high ceiling and one wall is adorned with artwork by local artists.nThe sausage roll from the cabinet was sold out by 9.45 am on a Saturday morning.nMenu food is fresh, fantastic and beautifully presented.nTotally enjoyed ourselves.
Amazing place to eat, affordable and cheap. I’ve been to a few cafes and have to say this is one of the best in Auckland. Their coffee is full and creamy. food tastes incredible and presentation is insanely beautiful. The bathrooms are clean and tidy with modern high quality soap and appliances, all staff are accomodating and pleasant. If I could give this place a 100 star rating I would.
The worker had an attitude to us because we didn’t order much food. She only gave us 2 pairs of cutlery because we ordered 2 dishes. She also kept on staring at us like we were doing something wrong. The chicken burger was cold and had an odd taste. It was supposed to be a spicy dish but it was sweet. The breakfast platter was a normal dish.
