A beautiful spot for a meeting we recently had in the CBD. My flat white was the perfect temperature and flavour, big fan of the pies here as well. A beautiful space with all the white walls and exposed brick. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales
Very cute place! Has a nice range of food & coffee as well as drinks at night There is also free pool & darts. Good place to host events such as birthdays or team lunches 10/10
Ordered a cup of coffee and 2 slices of toasts with butter and jam. Coffee arrived soon after I sat down. It was alright. 17 minutes later, my toasts have arrived. The toasts looked oily and they tasted like bacon. I suspect it was cooked in a pan with bacon fat. I wasn’t complaint straightaway about it as I needed to rush off. The management really needs to have some words with the kitchen. Why take 17 minutes to prepare 2 slices of toast? I asked for toasts, not toasts with bacon flavour. Just put the bread in a toaster and you will be fine. Not a happy customer.
Delicious! Brought a pie to eat there and one to take home. A very relaxed and quiet, with enviable window seating. Bring a book, order a pie and tea, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Ok...I have to admit, it was not my intention to come here. I was really looking for The Grove and since they were closed this was right next door and up stairs. What an adorable place with a variety of fresh foods, filtered water, charming ambiance and a full bar of coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. No AC but the seating area is charming overlooking the near by park and church. And did I mention free wifi.
Amazing hidden location in central CBD with a great range of food and specials. They are wellknown for their pies which were a delight and very light, a platter for two was enough for four! Highly recommend this place.
This was a great treat for lunch. The coffee was hot, with amazing food and friendly staff. Excellent good quality food with awesome pies and chips, my family enjoyed their meals and we'll be back again.
It's a true Hidden gem. The owners won't let you down for any requests you make. Finger licking good food P.S: don't hesitate to ask for Sheesha
Maybe the barista/waitress woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning. It is 07:49. Just walked out of HeavenScent after having had the worst service in any cafe I've ever been to ever. The only waitress/barista there did not greet any customers, did not smile, did not offer any alternatives when we asked why there were no pies she just shrugged and said 'It's kinda like a lunchtime thing', did not offer us any menus, proceeded to make coffee while our group were standing in front of her looking dismayed. We had already paid $10 for parking next door and didn't want to waste it and were willing to just order off the menu but her uncaring attitude really put us off. She looked more annoyed than anything at us being there. Maybe she's having a bad day but she shouldn't bring it to work. Leave it at home or don't work at all. I don't think I'll be coming back. III After having read management's review, I feel like it deserves nil stars if that were at all possible. Given a half-arsed apology or a free coffee was not what I was after. I wanted to hear them say 'we will speak to the staff concerned and will do our best to improve things'. Being understaffed is not an excuse, you can still smile at people and tell them you'll be with them shortly, not just walk around them as if they were an inconvenience. Plus, there were only a few customers at that very moment. You can check your security cameras if you wanna know I'm telling the truth. And the other man being served first did not bother me us the slightest because we were ignored for so long we wouldn't have known what to order in the first place. It was the unfriendly, uncaring attitude displayed by your staff member. I don't care what she is like when you're not busy, the fact of the matter is she made us feel unwelcome. She did not say hello, saw us stand there looking around without saying anything, did not even smile when we came up to the counter when we realized we won't be getting any attention just standing around, just dismissed us when we asked about the pies as if we were wrong to come at 7am and ask for pies she could've just said 'Im sorry we don't serve pies for breakfast' or 'We have something else that might interest you'. Very poor customer service that you so shamefully tried to justify by saying she has fine multitasking skills clearly she doesn't. And if you haven't realized yet, yes we are pie aficionados. We purposely go to cafes and bakeries everywhere our travels in NZ take us just so we can try pies from all over. The trip to HeavenScent was a trip long overdue as we live in Auckland. So when a friend visited from overseas, we were riveting with excitement to take her to this highly-rated place called HeavenScent. Imagine the sheer disappointment, magnified by the fact that we had planned it for so long and had raised our visiting friend's expectations. I don't think so. No amount of justifying will ever take that away. It has only made things worse.
me my and great-great grandsons went there it was astounding! 5/5 stars, the food was breathtaking and my sons enjoyed the pies and how quicky the food came. I highly recomend!
